Criminal Offenses and Defenses in Alabama places important topics of the criminal law of Alabama in one convenient volume along with relevant sections of the Alabama Code. Most, but not all, topics describe a particular category of offense, such as burglary, while others cover general subjects like the death penalty or entrapment. Each topic includes comments, analysis of leading cases, cross-references, and footnotes.
You will find descriptions of how an offense would be charged under the particular code section and how the particular offense is classified, e.g., Class A felony. The book also reviews defenses, many of which include analysis of leading cases.
