Criminal Offenses and Defenses in Alabama alphabetically arranges particular topics of the criminal law of Alabama and includes relevant sections of the Alabama Code. Most, but not all, topics describe a particular category of offense, such as burglary, while others cover general subjects like the death penalty or entrapment. Each topic includes comments, analysis of leading cases, cross-references, and footnotes.
You will find descriptions of how an offense would be charged under the particular code section and how the particular offense is classified, e.g., Class A felony. The book also reviews defenses, many of which include analysis of leading cases.
