Viola S. Loridi
Viola S. Lordi, a shareholder with Wilentz Goldman & Spitzer PA, practices at the firms Woodbridge, New Jersey, office where she chairs the firms Education Law Department. A major focus of Ms. Lordis education law practice is the representation of Pre-K-12 school boards in matters involving children with educational disabilities, school governance concerns, and labor issues. Ms. Lordi represents higher education institutions on a broad range of student-related matters and other matters arising in the operations of these institutions. She has represented clients in New Jersey before the Superior Court, the Commissioner of Education, the Office of Administrative Law, the School Ethics Commission, and the Public Employment Relations Commission in, among other matters, special education disputes, labor arbitrations and litigation, tenure/seniority matters, employee/student discipline litigation, and school ethics matters. She is the main author of IDEA Guidebook: A Comprehensive Guide to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, LRP Publications, 2007. Ms. Lordi has an AV Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating. She was selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers® 2013. Ms. Lordi has an AB degree from Douglass College, Rutgers University, AM and EdM degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a JD degree from Rutgers School of Law Newark.
