John J. Delaney, AICP, is a founding partner of Linowes and Blocher, L.L.P., now retired from the firm. Practicing out of the firms principal office in Montgomery County, Maryland, Delaney has represented or served as a consultant to developers, municipalities, and institutional clients in a wide variety of matters, including land use regulation and litigation, growth management, and municipal law. He has written and lectured extensively on land use issues and has briefed and/or argued numerous reported cases in state and federal courts. For many years he served as an adjunct professor at American Universitys Washington College of Law, in Washington, D.C., teaching land use and local government law courses. (March 2016)
