Keith Ternes is the chief of police for the Fargo Police Department in North Dakota, where he has been employed for the past twenty-two years, serving as chief since 2006. He earned his B.S. in management from the University of Mary, is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He is a member of Police Executive Research Forum, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the North Dakota Chiefs of Police Association, the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association, and the North Dakota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board executive board.
