Print Edition Guidelines: Sample Language

Expect to see the following language, or variations, used in shipment inserts describing new, revised, or reissued print editions:

New edition:

With the new [design and format] [reorganization and updating], this volume replaces your [old edition number] Edition volume. This fully revised and reorganized edition replaces the old edition.

Revised edition:

This revised edition fully integrates coverage of [recent statutory or rules changes or legislative changes] [important recent caselaw] [current developments] in the area of _____ law].

Reissued edition:

To provide information in multiple types of media, we have developed a new system for processing and storing information contained in Thomson Reuters Legal Solutions products. Although sections have been renumbered and the text is formatted differently, the book still has the same content. It has the same organization and contains all of the information you have come to rely on in your practice.

The full contents of the _________________________ have been converted to a new, standard format as part of a broad initiative by the publisher to give all our Thomson Reuters Legal Solutions information content a standard look and presentation, and to facilitate the publication of that content in multiple media, including online.
