This book assembles the legislative materials and reported judicial decisions relating to the Connecticut Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) in a single volume, and offers interpretation and commentary on how the act was formulated, and how it has been applied over its thirty-five year history. The Connecticut Supreme Court has characterized the CEPA as a legislative attempt to bring the ever-growing problems of air and water pollution under the control of law. The basic import of the act is to give private individuals standing to sue to protect the environment.
