Drug Laws of Ohio is your source for researching federal and state laws and rules for distribution of drugs and controlled substances in Ohio. You'll find Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4729 – Pharmacists, and related laws; pharmacy board regulations on dangerous drugs, controlled substances, and other topics; state medical board rules; and selected federal laws and rules from the U.S. Code and Code of Federal Regulations. This is the only print product meeting the OAC requirement that pharmacies have a current library of state laws and rules governing drug distribution in Ohio. It is edited by and published in cooperation with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. It also:

  • Lists drug ingredients, manufacturer, maximum daily dosage, and more in the controlled substance reference table. The controlled substances are listed alphabetically in the table, each followed by an alphabetical list of the products containing that controlled substance. An extensive index precedes the table to assist in locating a particular product. The index lists products by both their trade name and generic name, along with the page number of the table where they can be found.
  • Contains a user's guide for quick access to recent statutes, rules, and other related issues
  • Provides information for prescriptions of Schedule II, III, IV, and V controlled substances
