Q. Who is eligible to enter the contest?
A. Contest is open only to legal residents of the U.S. and D.C. who are 18 years of age and older at the time of entry.
Q. Which charities are eligible for the $10,000 donation?
A. The three winners will select from the list of the following charities for their donation. The charities chosen by the winners will receive their donation by April 30, 2018.
Q. What are the requirements for a success story submission?
A. Success stories must be written in English and contain no more than 5,000 characters. Entries must not infringe any third-party rights and must not defame or invade publicity rights or the privacy of any person. Unintelligible or incomplete entries will be disqualified.
Q. What is the judging criteria for the contest?
A. Potential winners in each practice area will be selected by a panel of judges comprised of internal Thomson Reuters' employees and external industry representatives. The winning entries will describe how using CLEAR, Batch Services, PeopleMap on Westlaw, or Company Investigator on Westlaw helped the Entrant make a difference in the world. Examples include building a safer community, upholding justice, protecting a client's interest, mitigating risk, uncovering or preventing fraud, breakthrough in an investigation, or recovering lost assets within any of the practice areas identified above.
Q. Who will be judging my success story submission?
A. A panel of Thomson Reuters employees and experts from the Corporate, Government and Law Firm industries will judge all eligible success stories received based on the contest judging criteria.
Q. How will I know if I was a winner in the contest?
A. Potential winners will be selected and notified by March 15, 2018.
