Blythe McCoy serves as the Librarian Relations Manager for law librarians across the Southern portion of the United States. Her territory includes Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, South and North Carolina. She provides librarian-caliber training so librarians can improve their skills while keeping abreast of legal industry trends, new content, and developments available from Thomson Reuters.
She conducts territory-wide librarian learning sessions on a wide range of topics that affect information professionals. These sessions include national and regional product deep-dives, city-wide boot camps, and firm-specific learning sessions. Blythe conducts professional development programs for many local, regional, and national librarian associations. These topics include Marketing the Library, Legal Industry Updates, Cost-Effective Research, Time Management and Cybersecurity.
She is a licensed Texas attorney and previously practiced law for a firm in Houston, Texas, doing commercial litigation and bankruptcy work. Starting with West Publishing in 1988, Blythe has had a diverse career serving legal professionals as an Account Manager, Account Executive, and Marketing Manager. She has been a Librarian Relations Manager since 2003 and truly enjoys working with legal information professionals on a daily basis.
Blythe is passionate about her work with law librarian associations and is an active member in many local, regional and national organizations. She earned her B.A. (English) and J.D. degrees from the University of Mississippi, and her M.L.I.S. degree from the University of North Texas.
